Kevin Raymond’s **Florilegium** turns LaTeX document margins into small blue gardens. Lua code draws each petal, leaf and stem directly into the PDF. Its grown layout fills available space—including the gap beneath a short final page—and a fixed seed keeps the decoration reproducible.

**AI assisted the development:** Raymond used Claude for planning and Claude Code for implementation, and published both session write-ups. One revealing moment: he pushed back when the first output copied the reference too closely. The finished tool draws with procedural geometry rather than generating images with an AI model.

It’s **MIT-licensed** and requires **LuaLaTeX**. The repository includes example PDFs, adjustable colours and density, and seasonal variants.
