“Make it feel like Mario” leaves a lot unspecified. Stefan 3D AI took a more concrete route: use the open-source Reverse Engineer Anything tool to extract movement parameters, check them, then give Claude Code those numbers as requirements for a new 3D platformer.

The October 22 walkthrough shows the process and resulting gameplay. The creator says the project uses original assets, with no Nintendo code or ROM data distributed. The game and report are offered through a free Patreon post; this is a build demonstration, rather than an instant-play browser link.

The useful lesson: give the coding agent measurable behaviour to reproduce.
