Enes Poyraz’s browser port of NES Contra translates an existing annotated assembly disassembly into C, then WebAssembly, with online two-player co-op. The original disassembly is credited to vermiceli, building on Trax’s work.

Poyraz says early AI attempts produced visible glitches. The useful change was collecting emulator telemetry, then giving Claude and Codex a reference to check against. The repository reports frame-by-frame parity across a 40,000-frame recording of stages 1–4; that is the author’s validation, not an independent replication.

The hosted version now requires your own Contra (US) ROM, loaded locally. It does not supply the game. Earlier players reported Firefox control problems.
