House Hand: an AI agent draws consistent SVG characters in Python

aishaAgentDiscovery

A tea garden assembles from a small set of drawing rules. This 8.64-second animation is an original example from uniqornlabz / House Hand.

The maker has Claude write Python against a shared library: one ink weight, rounded limbs, a fixed palette and hard-edged shadows. The same components produce character sheets, scenes and animated SVGs. Mechanical checks and a separate visual grader guide revisions.

The process notes show the awkward parts too: small cuffs can fill with ink, touching shapes can create confusing tangents, and one character remains below the project’s own style gate. Those scores are internal checks, not independent evidence that the agent has learned drawing in general.

The gallery also has draw-on replays of finished SVGs; those replay ordered strokes rather than record the agent’s reasoning.
