CorridorKey 2.0: AI green-screen keying for real footage
Hair, motion blur and translucent fabric make removing a green screen surprisingly hard. Pixels at those edges mix the subject with the background; a simple cutout loses useful detail.
CorridorKey 2.0, by Corridor Digital and model designer Zachary Harris, estimates both the foreground colour and its transparency. It can use information across a clip to improve consistency, with artist-supplied hints for more control. Alê Alvaro developed the host plugins.
The original 29½-minute video includes a VFX supervisor’s critique at 23:46. Treat the before-and-after shots as creator demonstrations, with remaining edge problems to inspect, rather than a promise that every shot is finished in one click.
The model/code are available separately under a custom licence with use and redistribution restrictions; the official plugin bundle is a one-time purchase. The paid plugins currently support Windows with an NVIDIA RTX GPU, or an M-series Mac on macOS 14 or newer; check the host-specific requirements.
