JIVX turns Japanese YouTube videos into short speaking exercises
JIVX turns lines from Japanese YouTube videos into prompts you answer by typing or speaking Japanese, with AI feedback on each attempt. Its new video-practice page has a no-account trial.
A Yokohama vlog becomes 15 exercises: reconstruct a sentence before the video reveals it, then compare polite and casual versions. This gives a familiar video a more active use than simply replaying it.
It is sentence-production practice rather than an open conversation. AI grades are feedback, not a validated proficiency test, and one early user reported a long wait when adding a new video.
