Change the apparent lighting of a photograph in Photon, a free desktop photo editor. The creator, u/AsejereDaDeje, shared this AI-assisted relighting feature on October 16 and says the processing runs on the user's own GPU.

The demo makes the effect easy to see. Photon also provides familiar layers, masks and Photoshop-style shortcuts; users in the discussion describe trying it for their existing editing workflows.

Available for macOS, Windows and Linux. This is a desktop download, and the current site lists Photon as free without an account.
