OmniDiff: an AI-assisted diff tool that looks inside code, PDFs and fonts
Moving a function can make an ordinary diff look like a deletion and a fresh block of code. OmniDiff’s maker’s OmniDiff uses language-aware comparison to make changes easier to inspect—and also compares pictures, PDFs, archives and font glyphs.
The maker describes manually examining 2,000 real diffs before designing the pipelines, with AI assistance alongside human-written core work. One outside user reports substantially more minimal diffs; the browser showcase lets you inspect examples before installing.
It is an AGPL-licensed local tool, not an AI reviewer that decides whether code is correct. Its speed and accuracy figures are the maker’s own measurements.
