Spawn: build a playable 3D world by talking to an AI character
Ask for a castle, add a dragon, then climb aboard. Spawn turns prompts to its in-game assistant, Savi, into changes to a shared 3D game world.
Jacob Sansbury describes an unusual feedback loop behind it: Savi can file a bug when a player encounters a problem, and development agents work from those reports. The public site also lets you browse games people have made.
The interesting distinction is between generating a picture of a world and changing a place you can move around in. It is an experiment worth trying; the team’s claims about autonomous development remain its own account.
