City of Animals: hand-drawn heroes in a Claude-assisted cyberpunk city
Neon streets, passing cars and pixel characters: u/Yigidus is building City of Animals, an action-adventure that combines side-scrolling combat with point-and-click exploration.
The maker is an experienced pixel artist. They draw the main characters and bosses, use PixelLab for animation drafts, then repair frames by hand in Aseprite. Claude Code handles much of the Unity code and writes scripts for procedural buildings and props.
This is a work-in-progress showcase; the announcement has no public playable demo. The teaser emphasizes the setting. The maker says the feel of each mechanic still takes repeated playtesting and adjustment.
